Make 2025 the Year You Finally Protect and Organize Your Memories

With the New Year upon us, what are your goals? Does it include getting your photos in order? Perhaps you've just inherited a bunch of photos and old movie tapes from a parent or family member and you don't know what or how to deal with it all?

"According to Photutorial, approximately 1.94 trillion photos are projected to be taken worldwide in 2024.

This equates to about 5.3 billion photos daily, or 61,400 per second. The number of photos taken annually has been steadily increasing, with 1.72 trillion photos taken in 2022 and 1.81 trillion in 2023. Smartphones have significantly contributed to this rise, accounting for 94% of all photos taken in 2024. By 2030, it's anticipated that over 2 trillion photos will be captured each year."

Often, handing over your photos in bins and boxes, in photo albums, scrapbooks and movie reels can seem scary if you don't know or trust the company you're dealing with to help you. As I write this, January 7, 2025, another terrible wildfire is ravaging the West Coast of California near Los Angeles. People are fleeing their homes as the fire takes over home after home. I currently live in Boulder County and we saw a similar disaster unfold in 2021 and then again in 2023 in Lahaina. I used to live in and around Lahaina in the 80's and both of these disasters seemed unlikely until it happened. One thing is true, we can not predict weather or when the next disaster will strike.
