Save Your Photos Month - 2025
Why Photo Preservation Matters Now
How many times have you looked at a stack of dusty photo albums or scrolled through 40,000 images on your phone and thought,
"I really need to organize these someday..."?
Well, here’s the truth: disasters don’t wait for someday.
Floods, fires, hurricanes, and yes—tech crashes—can happen overnight, and when they do, decades of irreplaceable memories can vanish in a flash.
This year, heartbreaking flooding in Texas, North Carolina, and New Mexico has left countless families not only mourning loved ones, but also mourning the loss of generations of photo memories. These moments aren’t just pictures. They’re our history. They’re our heart.
Why Photos Matter So Much
Whether it’s your child’s first steps, a birthday with Grandma, or the one surviving photo of your great-grandparents—these images connect us. They remind us who we are and where we’ve come from. And in moments of crisis, photos are often the first thing people grab when evacuating.
The emotional impact of losing those memories is real. But here’s the good news:
It’s never too late to start preserving them.
This week marks the kickoff of Save Your Photos Month, and we’re here to help you take that first small step—so your memories are safe before anything can take them away.

🧹 Quick Tip: Sort Before You Scan
Want to save yourself hours (and a headache)? Don’t scan everything. Start by sorting:
✔ Group photos by decade or event
✔ Remove blurry or meaningless duplicates
✔ Use my favorite rule: If you hesitate, set it aside for later
Not every photo has to make the cut. This isn't about scanning everything—it’s about saving what matters most.
❤️ Your Story Deserves to Be Preserved
You don’t need to be a tech wizard. You don’t need to do it all this week. But you do need to start.
Because someday isn’t a plan.
And the most important legacy you leave may not be in your will—it may be the photos that tell your story.
Let this be the week you begin.
I’ll be right here, cheering you on and guiding you every step of the way.
With memory-keeping magic,
